Profile

For over a decade Oliver Meyer-van-Raay has advised enterprises of all dimensions, both providers and customers, in the fields of IT and data protection law. His clients include IT enterprises, banks, publishing companies and industrial enterprises. Oliver Meyer-van-Raay advises during the negotiation of complex agreements, also in an international context. This includes advice on IT projects, both traditional and agile, also within the context of plant construction and other technology projects as well as guidance for his clients during the implementation of their digitalization strategies.

Following his law degree and further legal training in Münster (Westphalia), Oliver Meyer-van-Raay was an academic staff member at the Institute for Information Law at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), where he wrote his doctoral thesis on the protection and distribution of software. After several years as a lawyer in a major law firm in Stuttgart and two years at Bartsch and Partner in Karlsruhe, he was one of the founding partners of the law firm Vogel & Partner in 2011.

Oliver Meyer-van-Raay holds seminars on contract negotiation at Karlsruhe Institute of Technology (KIT), on social media law at the Business Association of Industrial Enterprises Baden (wvib), and acts as a coach for agile contract drafting and finalization. In addition to working as a lawyer, he acts as an external data protection ombudsman for several enterprises.
