Dr. Roman Frik, LL.M. (Cologne/Paris)

Lawyer
Specialist Lawyer for Labor Law (Fachanwalt für Arbeitsrecht)

Profile

Roman Frik has advised SMEs in the Stuttgart region on labour and employment law for many years. He is familiar with the needs of business operators wishing to ensure fair working conditions for their employees while having to make personnel decisions with severe consequences for staff members.

Roman Frik has particular and highly appreciated expertise in works constitution law based on decades of experience in advising enterprises about the co-determination rights of their works councils. He regularly negotiates with works councils on behalf of enterprises with regard to reductions in personnel and the conclusion of works council agreements. In this respect the reduction of a small number of jobs can be as challenging as a recent case of the mass dismissal of 1,000 employees spanning several companies belonging to one group.

His lengthy experience in advising international enterprises and several years spent abroad mean that Roman Frik is also a sought-after advisor for foreign business operators. He regularly delivers advice and draws up contracts in English and French.
