Legal Lab

The Legal Lab, founded in Constance in 2019, is our cross-location think tank where we develop new products, services and processes and rethink and redesign legal advice. Here, we develop your custom-fit solutions in the areas of digitalization, data protection, IT law and legal tech.
Focus
In addition to providing support for traditional legal consulting activities, the Legal Lab focuses on the development of scalable solutions and products. The portfolio covers the range from template solutions to complex software tools, which we develop and optimize for our clients.
Our areas of focus
The focus is always on increasing efficiency through synergy, knowledge exchange, knowledge sharing, and standardization. In terms of content, our work focuses in particular on data protection issues (e.g., preparation of data protection notices or intercompany agreements), IT contracts (e.g., software development and licensing agreements), ERP projects (e.g., implementation projects and project disputes), and legal tech solutions (e.g., document generators and auditing tools).
Industries
We have experience in many different industries. For example, since our foundation we have successfully advised and supported clients from the automotive sector, the medical sector, the luxury goods segment, the real estate industry, the sports and leisure sector, and the software industry.
Experts
The Legal Lab is a young team of lawyers, business lawyers and IT professionals. Here, specialized experts from different disciplines work on common topics.
Thanks to our proximity to universities and colleges in the region, we enable young professionals from the legal and IT sectors to work on interdisciplinary, challenging, and innovative projects, to advance their own theses and publications, and to gain professional experience at the interface between science and practice.
