Prof. Dr. Rupert Vogel

Partner Attorney at Law Specialist in IT Law
Profile

Rupert Vogel’s practice focuses on advising and representing German and international companies in and out of court on issues of complex contracts, in particular those related to the Internet (e.g. cloud computing, outsourcing), classic and agile project contracts and project disputes, the design of business models in the field of new media and the licensing and protection of software and technology. AI law is also part of his consulting portfolio.

His theoretical knowledge is reflected in his honorary professorship at the University of Mannheim, where Rupert Vogel has held lectureships in French law, IT law and copyright law since 1993. As a member of the supervisory boards of several software companies, he is familiar with entrepreneurial issues and compliance. As a long-standing managing director of the German Society for Law and Information Technology (DGRI) e.V., he knows the players in IT law and has an extensive network, especially in France and Switzerland. His studies, assistantship and doctorate in France allow him to advise in German-French legal cases.

His clients include national and international technology companies and software houses as well as museums and cultural institutions.
